高校生による小学生英語教室

この行事は平成２６年度から福岡町芸術文化協会の依頼を受けて行っています。
８月上旬の２日間、地元の小学校の５・６年の児童が本校のセミナーハウスで高校生と英語を楽しみます。
英語版のラジオ体操を小学生と行った後、英語を使って歌を歌ったり、簡単な買い物をするなど、様々な活動をします。
この英語教室は、英語コースの生徒のべ２０名がグループを作ってそれぞれ進行します。
高校生が行うので、小学生も緊張せず、楽しそうに活動している姿が印象的です。
参加した小学生からは「高校生のお兄さん、お姉さんと活動できて楽しかった」、「また来年も参加したい」などの感想が寄せられています。

This event has been held since 2014 at the request of the Fukuoka Art and Culture Association.
For two days in early August, 3rd and 4th grade students from local elementary schools enjoy English with high school students at our seminar house.
After performing the English version of Radio Exercise with elementary school students, they do various activities such as singing songs in English and doing simple shopping.
In this English class, about 15 students in the English course form groups and proceed individually.
Since high school students do this, it is impressive to see elementary school students enjoying the activities without feeling nervous.
Some participating elementary school students commented, “It was fun to work with high school students,” and “I want to participate again next year.”
